This takes place once the Alpha or Luna are 18 or older, it depends on when their parents wish to step down. During this ritual, the previous Alpha and/or Luna formally had the pack and all its duties over to their predecessor. 

Most of the time it is a formal wear event. The Alpha or Luna to be will be in lighter blue, and the current Alpha and/or Luna will be in a darker blue. Pack members will wear dark (older members) and light (young members) of various blues, greys, and silvers. The colors signify the passage of their times as members of the pack. Once the new Alpha and/or Luna have accepted the title and the responsibilities of the pack, their Beta(s) will also take their place next to the new Alpha and/or Luna. The younger members will shift and have a hunt/run together, followed by the older members. 

 

Ritual

The pack will gather and wait for their new Alpha/Luna. They will join the pack at the rise of the moon. They will stand next to the Alpha and/or Luna in front of the pack.

“I, full name, ask you, full name, are willing to accept the duties and responsibilities of, pack name. By agreeing to this, you will not only be the new leader of (pack name), but you will also be the one that everyone turns to for guidance. You will be responsible for their lives and the success of the pack.”

“I accept.”

“I, full name, hereby hand (pack name) fully into your hands. May Nelena bless you and shine down on you and your pack tonight.” 

After this, the previous Alpha and/or Luna step away from the front. 

“I, full name, call upon (beta name/names) to stand beside me as my second in command.” 

After this, the beta(s) step up and they shift (Alpha/Luna first) and the rest of the younger pack members follow and they run and/or hunt as a pack with the new Alpha/Luna.

This takes place when a group of wolves decides to form a new pack. This is rare amongst the wolves, but it is done. The wolves wishing to create a new pack must have a born Alpha or Luna to be its leader(s). An Alpha and/or Luna request an audience with the High Council. Once they have either an invitation or they come to the Alpha and/or Luna requesting to create a pack. The Alpha and Luna must present:

• Pack name.

• The area they wish to reside. 

• List of all pack members.

  • Includes full names, date of birth, previous pack, mate (If applied), children (if applied), and any other documentation on the members.

• Reason(s) for forming the new pack.

The High Council will look over the information provided and come to a decision. If granted they give their blessing to the new pack.

Ritual

The High Alpha calls upon the Alpha/Luna, turning to them,

“I, full name, ask you, full name, are willing to accept the duties and responsibilities of, pack name. By agreeing to this, you will not only be the new leader of (pack name), but you will also be the one that everyone turns to for guidance. You will be responsible for their lives and the success of the pack.”

“I accept.”

“I, full name, hereby grant (pack name) fully into your hands. May Nelena bless you and shine down on you and your pack tonight.” 

After this, the High Alpha and/or Luna step away from the front. 

“I, full name, call upon (beta name/names) to stand beside me as my second in command. Do you accept?”

Once the betas have accepted the Alpha and/or Luna go through and ask each potential member “I, full name, call upon (member's name) to stand beside me in, (pack name). Do you accept?" 

Once all members have joined the pack, if they wish to, they all shift and join in a hunt together to solidify the bonds of the pack.

This takes place once the previous High Alpha and High Luna are ready to step down or reach 

the age of 50. The next High Alpha and High Luna are chosen by the previous High Alpha and Luna, with guidance from Goddess Nelena. Once the next High Alpha and Luna are announced the preparations for the holiday are set into motion, they also call in their successors into the High Council compound for training. This is done up to two years before Inauguration Day. The 2-day event is one of the largest werewolf gatherings. The first day is spent celebrating the service of the High Court. At 11 pm (on the first day) the inauguration begins, so that by 12 am (beginning of the second day) the new High Court. The second day is a celebration of the new High Court. During the first day, the next High Alpha and Luna are separated from their fellow werewolves.

The High Alpha calls upon his successor, turning to him, “I, full name, ask you, full name, are willing to accept the duties and responsibilities of being High Alpha. By agreeing to this, you will not only be the new leader of the wolves, but you will also be the one that everyone turns to for guidance. You will be responsible for their lives and the success of all wolves. You have not only been trained for this but you have been chosen by the Goddess Nelena as well. Do you accept all that will fall upon you?”

“I accept.”

“I, full name, hereby pass the rank of High Alpha onto you. May Nelena bless you and shine down on you and your pack tonight.” 

After this, the previous High Alpha steps away from the front. 

“I, full name, call upon (calls to his chosen council members) to stand beside me as my council members.” Those members stand next to the High Alpha.

Next, the High Luna moves forwards and calls upon her successor, turning to her, “I, full name, ask you, full name, are willing to accept the duties and responsibilities of being High Luna. By agreeing to this, you will not only be the new leader of the wolves, but you will also be the one that everyone turns to for guidance. You will be responsible for their lives and the success of all wolves. You have not only been trained for this but you have been chosen by the Goddess Nelena as well. Do you accept all that will fall upon you?”

“I accept.”

“I, full name, hereby pass the rank of High Luna onto you. May Nelena bless you and shine down on you and your pack tonight.” 

After this, the previous High Luna steps away from the front. 

“I, full name, call upon (calls to his chosen council members) to stand beside me as my council members.” Those members stand next to the High Luna. 

“Introducing High Alpha (full name) and High Luna (full name) and their council (list full names). Let us celebrate their rule and accept this new rule with a new day!” The previous High Alpha will usher in the new reign of the new high council.
